Michelle and Dan’s wedding at Eglinton West Gallery in Toronto was a celebration filled with colour, texture, and personality.
Set on a beautiful spring day, the floral design embraced a palette of bright pastels paired with unique, sculptural blooms including the ever-popular anthurium. The result was a wedding aesthetic that felt warm, modern, and distinctly personal.
A Modern Broken Arch Ceremony Design
For their ceremony, Michelle and Dan chose a broken arch one of the most versatile and impactful ceremony designs.
We began with a base of lush greenery, layering in florals in intentional groupings to create a modern, asymmetrical composition. This approach offered a fresh interpretation of a classic ceremony structure, allowing for movement and visual interest without feeling overly traditional.
One of the key advantages of this design is its adaptability. Following the ceremony, our team repurposed the arch behind the sweetheart table, allowing it to remain a focal point throughout the reception.
A Textural and Layered Tablescape
Michelle and Dan wanted their reception florals to feel minimal yet impactful.
To achieve this, we combined classic bud vases with modern ikebana-inspired arrangements. This mix of styles created a tablescape rich in texture, variation, and visual interest while maintaining a refined and understated feel.
The floral palette featured roses, ranunculus, anthurium, delphinium, kangaroo paw, lisianthus, and calla lilies each selected to add dimension and uniqueness to the overall design.
