The Pearle Hotel and Spa Wedding – Nicole and Akaash’s Pink and Purple June Wedding
A Bright at Colourful wedding at the Pearle Hotel and Spa
Nicole and Akaash’s Pearle Hotel and Spa wedding was the perfect combination of romance, colour, and thoughtful design. Their June wedding featured lush floral in bright shades of pink and purple, balanced against the soft blue and pastel tones of the Edgewater Room at The Pearle Hotel and Spa.
Nicole and Akaash were married at St. Ann’s Church in Ancaster before welcoming more than 200 guest to their reception at The Pearle Hotel and Spa in Burlington.
The goal for the floral design was to create arrangements that felt soft, lush, and romantic while still having the colour and energy that Nicole and Akaash envisioned. With so many beautiful colours already present in the space, the challenge was creating contrast without allowing the florals to overwhelm the room.
The result was a fun, romantic wedding filled with texture, dimension, warmth and a touch of classic elegance.
Pink and Purple: A Balancing Act
Nicole and Akaash weren’t simply looking for pink and purple flowers. They wanted the colours to be bright, saturated, and unapologetically colourful
I love working with bold colours, but this presented an interesting design challenge. I needed to balance the different shades of pink and purple so they felt intentional rather than overwhelming, while also making sure the flowers complemented the soft pastels and gold accents already present throughout the Edgewater Room.
My solution was to ground the vibrant florals with warm, neutral-toned accents.
All of Nicole and Akaash’s floral arrangements were designed in deep gold ceramic compotes, giving the flowers a strong visual foundation and connecting them to the warmth of the tablescape. The flowers were flanked by dusty rose and sandstone taper candles in gold candle holders, adding another layer of warmth and helping to bridge the gap between the vivid florals and the softer tones of the room.
The warm brown and neutral tones acted as an earthy anchor for the saturated pinks and purples. Rather than competing with the flowers, these tones gave the colour palette somewhere to settle, creating a design that felt vibrant but still sophisticated.
The gold accents also tied beautifully into the architectural details of The Pearle Hotel and Spa, particularly the gold ceiling and wall accents throughout the Edgewater Room.
This is one of my favourite parts of floral design: colour doesn't exist in isolation. The flowers need to work with the room, the tables, the candles, the architecture, and the overall feeling of the event.
Peonies, Hydrangeas and Lush Summer Florals
Nicole and Akaash’s wedding featured an incredible mix of flowers, including roses, ranunculus, campanula, lisianthus, stock, hydrangea, and peonies.
But the true standouts were the fluffy pink peonies and lush pink hydrangea.
The pink hydrangea created a full, substantial base for each arrangement, which meant I could use very little greenery. Instead, the arrangements were built almost entirely from flowers, allowing the colour and individual blooms to take centre stage.
Each arrangement was carefully layered to create a lush, abundant feeling while still maintaining plenty of dimension and movement. Different flower shapes and textures were placed throughout the arrangements so that the eye continued to discover something new from every angle.
And then there were the peonies.
June is prime peony season in Ontario, so I knew we had to take advantage of it. Nicole and Akaash’s wedding featured some of the most beautiful Sarah Bernhardt peonies, with their soft pink petals and wonderfully full form.
They added incredible texture to the arrangements and, as an added bonus, filled the room with their beautiful fragrance.
Every flower has something special about it, but seasonal flowers like these are one of my favourite ways to make a wedding feel connected to the time of year.
Harvest Tables and Round Tables: How Do You Style Both?
One of the benefits of hosting your wedding reception at The Pearle Hotel and Spa is the ability to incorporate both their beautiful harvest tables and round guest tables into the reception design.
But that creates an interesting floral design question: How do you make sure guests at every table get to experience the flowers?
For Nicole and Akaash’s wedding, we wanted the floral experience to feel cohesive across the entire room while still making sense for each table shape.
We accomplished this by using floral compotes in two different sizes.
Each harvest table featured two smaller floral compotes, allowing guests to see and enjoy the flowers without obstructing conversation across the long tables. The round tables featured larger statement compotes that filled the centre of each table and created a more substantial focal point.
We used the gold scallop compotes from Accent Decor throughout both table styles, which helped tie everything together visually.
Using the same vessel across different table shapes is a simple design decision, but it makes a big difference. It allows the arrangements to vary in scale while still making the entire room feel intentional and cohesive.
120 Taper Candle for a Little Extra Sparkle
We filled the Edgewater Room with 120 taper candles for Nicole and Akaash’s wedding!
Together, we chose gold Virtue candlesticks paired with a combination of dusty rose and sandstone taper candles.
The candles served several purposes within the overall design. The warm colours helped balance the bright pink and purple flowers, while the gold candle holders connected back to the gold compotes and architectural details of the venue.
But most importantly, they added movement and sparkle to the tablescape.
As the evening progressed, the candlelight brought an entirely different feeling to the room. The combination of colourful flowers, warm candlelight, gold accents, and soft pastels created a romantic atmosphere that felt especially beautiful once the sun began to set.
What Nicole and Akaash Had to Say
Nicole and Akaash were kind enough to leave me a google review about their experience working with Dynasty Events and Florals
“Giulia was the best florist we could have asked for!
From our very first meeting, Giulia was extremely warm, kind and helpful. She really listened to the vision we wanted, and provided recommendations to make the biggest impact in our space, while also maximizing our budget. She was so responsive, even before we booked her, answering every one of our questions to ensure we were making the right decision.
The mood boards she created blew us away - the colours were perfect, the flowers were beautiful, and the arrangements captured everything we expressed. The week leading up to the wedding she even provided photos of the pieces and welcomed feedback to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it.
She brought the vision to life and every piece was absolutely stunning. The centrepieces, the sweetheart table arrangements, the boutonnières, the corsages, the bouquets, the candles. Everything was perfect and we got so many complements on how beautiful the flowers were and how she was able transform the space.
One of our favourite things about working with Giulia is that the guests got to take home the flowers AND the vases. It made us feel so good that at the end of the night we weren’t throwing away thousands of flowers (and dollars) and the flowers were being admired after the event. One of our friends even said the flowers lasted for a full two weeks after!
We had the best time working with Giulia and we highly recommend her anyone.”

We absolutely love working at The Pearle Hotel and Spa and throughout the Pearle Hospitality family of venues. Every space has its own architectural details and personality, and we love creating floral designs that enhance those details rather than compete with them.
For Nicole and Akaash, that meant taking the bright pinks and purples they loved and building an entire tablescape around them. Softening them with warm neutrals, grounding them with gold, and layering in candlelight to create a reception that felt both vibrant and romantic.
